HERTZ REPUBLIC PASSPORT
La création d’un passeport des Paraboles et d'une république Hertzienne
m’est venue lorsque je me suis penchée sur la notion de frontières.Une des bases de ma reflexion étant que le ciel est notre toit commun, mais que paradoxalement, les frontières terrestres nous empêchent d’être chez nous. Dans le contexte actuel d’immigration, il m’a semblé judicieux de poser cette question autour du passeport qui selon le pays, n’a pas le même pouvoir. La république Hertzienne et son passeport, métaphore du Maroc, symbolise l’espoir, le rêve, l’ambition, l'exil et la puissance de l'enracinement.
Fait de cuir brut de chèvre, il rend hommage à la culture nomade et contient la langue hertzienne ainsi que des dessins des architectures celestes de Voth.
The creation of a Paraboles passport and of a Hertzian Republic came to me when I looked into the notion of borders.
One of the fundament of my reflection being that the sky is our common roof, but that paradoxically, the terrestrial borders prevent us from being at home. In the current context of immigration, it seemed wise to me to ask this question around the passport which, depending on the country, does not have the same power. The Hertzian Republic and its passport, a metaphor for Morocco, symbolizes hope, dreams, ambition, exile and the power of rootedness.
Made of raw goatskin, it pays homage to the nomadic culture and contains the hertzian language as well as drawings of the celestial architectures of Voth.
